Aztec broccoli

£5.00

This robust and trouble free plant grows to around a metre tall and produces both nutritious leaves and delicious flower buds. Leave some to flower and they’ll produce beautiful autumn colour and self seed very happily.
Since this plant is a relative of the weed ‘fat hen’ rather than the brassicas, the usual brassica pests such as caterpillars are not a problem so no netting is required. The leaves can be eaten raw in salads or cooked like spinach and the flower shoots are best steamed or fried.

I have pots of three or four seedlings available at the moment ready to be separated and planted out into your garden.
