Mullein plant and seed selection box

Mullein is a beautiful plant with tall statuesque flower spikes which not only look stunning but which also attract lots of beneficial insects to the garden.

Often used as a medicinal plant for respiratory health and as a powerful anti inflammatory, both the flowers and leaves are edible. The flowers are very pretty in a salad and the leaves are probably best enjoyed in a tea (they are rather fluffy!).

A biennial, the seeds you sow this year will grow to form large silver green rosettes of leaves and then go on to flower next summer. To ensure flowers this year and next this selection box will include three bareroot mullein plants (dug on day of postage and ready to plant straight out) and a pack of seeds to sow ready for flowers next year.

Please avoid planting next to a fish pond as the seeds can be dangerous to fish.
